In multi-line links (as used by the "Aktuell" table from www.yahoo.de) only the first line of multiple lines get highlighted on click. Tested with nightly build mozilla-win32.zip from 15.3.1999...

I don't believe this is a table problem.

It works in a current build; both lines turn green.
www.yahoo.de's right-hand-side box does not work with nightly build 23.3.1999; neither the 2nd line of a link is highlighted nor is the link activated (e.g. going to the linked page...).
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Using 3/26 build on Win 95, Win NT, Win 98, Mac8.5 and Linux verified bug fixed in terms of highlighted links. However, links did not work in Gecko. Wrote up new bug #4332 to reflect this problem.
