So all users can view the update history for the application. Perhaps we can update it during the software update itself which has elevated privileges?

Scratch that... if the app is installed under Program Files it should be under the all users directory. I think it would be better to also place the mar when downloaded, etc. there when doing updates so other users can also see the update. This would also fix a couple of other app update bugs
