if you quit mailnews using the quit option from the file menu, it quit all open mozilla navigator (browser) windows as well. I assume this is not supposed to be. Could not find any similar bugs.

Quit in any window, such as mail, means to Quit/Exit the application; to close all application windows. If you're just interested in closing the window you're in, that would be File|Close.

Laurel, Is the general user to know that Quit means to quit *all* windows that are open, including browser windows? Just because it all stems from mozilla.exe doesn't mean that the user knows this, and that quitting MailNews will also close up all the other windows he had open. I think that perhaps the menu should say something like: Quit [brandname] so that it's clear that Quit will cause all [brandname] windows to be destroyed. For example, if I'm in MailNews, and I see a menu option that says "Quit Netscape", I'm not likely to click it if I've got lots of Netscape windows open. Re-opening
