Build 2000-05-18-09M16: Win95, Linux 6.0, Mac 9.04
Overview: According to bug# 14065 there needs to be a "Port" item for all Server
Panels (i.e. News, IMAP and POP).
Question 1: Should it be placed after the "User Name"?
Question 2: Shouldn't this item be disabled for AOL accounts?
Question 3: Should Account Wizard have a way to specify the port?

fix is 3 lines of XUL.
nominating for nsbeta2 because I was at a dinner party on monday and a guy there
said "I like Netscape 6 beta1, but I can't use it for mail until I can enter a
port for my IMAP server"
(No joke, that actually happened)
Account setting spec updated to reflect Port added to IMAP/POP/NNTP Account
Settings panels.
Question 1: Yes, below "User Name".
I don't know the answers to Question 2 or 3.
Putting on [nsbeta2+][6/01] radar. This work must be done by 06/01 or we may
pull this for PR2.

have changes for this in my tree... only problem is that servers with no port
are defaulting to -1.
I have a way of hooking up the default port though, working on that now.

and to answer your questions
2) yes, it should be disabled for AOL, but make it another bug (which I won't
have time to fix :()
3) No, there shouldn't be a way to specify it in the account wizard, though
there is now a sort of hidden way - add the hostname as "host:port" and it will
Do The Right Thing. I don't think we should have a seperate field in the account
wizard because I think it should stay simple for the average joe.. nonstandard
port people should know they have to go to the account manager.
