with the "Smart Bookmarks" folder in the personal toolbar, this is easy for users to run into.

here's another user scenario for why we want to fix this (courtesy of polvi) once dnd starts working again (see bug #405198), users might try to drag and drop which should be a copy) or copy/paste one of "Smart Bookmarks" or the roots ("Unfiled", "Tags", or even "History") to the personal toolbar from the organizer. polvi once he learned that clicking on the star puts a the bookmark in "Unfiled" wanted to do just that: use the organizer and move the unfiled folder to the personal toolbar. we won't be allowing you to move "Unfiled", but copying should create a place: item for all the unfiled.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
