If a user creates a new profile, the initial dialog that comes up in the profile manager has a heading of "Introduction" and explains about creating a profile. At the end, it says, "To begin creating your profile, click Continue." The dialog following this allows the user to name their new profile. If the user selects 'Enter' on the keyboard instead of clicking on the "Continue" button with the mouse in the first dialog screen, the profile name of "Default User" is selected (it flashes up on the screen and then continues to the next screen). If the user uses the mouse, the next screen in the dialog stays up and they can enter a different name in the profile. This was found in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007102204 Minefield/3.0a9pre. This does not reproduce on Windows but the dialog is slightly different there as well.
Sounds like a side effect of bug 401425.
