To test this you'll have to go to MailChimp.com (http://www.mailchimp.com/), create a free trial account, and go through the process of creating a new HTML newsletter.

While in their HTML mail editor in Firefox 2, clicking on the URL link button brings up a little popup window where you specify the URL to be linked to. This dialog is an independent free-floating window with close buttons and all the rest.

In Minefield, however, clicking the URL link button, it drops a blank dialog from the Minefield titlebar. This dialog has no buttons, and no way to cancel or dismiss it, so the application is essentially blocked. The only way to get rid of the dialog is to Force Quit Minefield.

They appear to be using the FCKEditor package for their editor system, but I can't replicate this behaviour on the FCKEditor demo page, so I'm really not sure what's going on.

Attaching screenshots.

I created a test account to test this. MailChimp uses FckEditor, and Fckeditor uses window.open() with a "modal=1" parameter to show it's dialogs, which due to the fix for bug 194404 now actually seems to do something in Gecko.
