scrollbars in apprunner are broken. I got no horizontal scrollbars, ever. I got vertical scrollbars only if I resized down. The vertical scrollbar should have been there the whole time since the page was bigger than my browser window.

Re-assigned to trudelle@netscape.com and changed component to XUL. Peter, aren't Eric and David working on this issue?

No, they haven't checked in anything recently. XUL has nothing to do with scrollbars, I think this is assigned incorrectly. It may be a Gecko problem, I'll try Viewer.

I can't reproduce this in Viewer, nor in Apprunner on Win98. Sar, did you try to reproduce in Viewer?

changing component to layout, and reassigning to michaelp, who checked in several scroll-related changes for this build.

if anyone wants to see if my change from yesterday is involved, faster than it will take for me to pull and build, comment out lines 1252 and 1253 in nsScrollingView.cpp and rebuild in view/src. in my tree this doesn't cause any problems, but then again i don't have stuff checked in by others after i checked in yesterday... if the problem goes away with those lines commented, then it's mine. in the mean time, i'm pulling and building.

argh! I just reran apprunner, and now it's not happening. I didn't make michalep's change... I didn't do anything except run viewer in the interum. argh. I'm gonna reduce the severity of this bug and I'll close it on monday if it hasn't recurred.

finally came back to reality and ran my pull of today's code. all seems to work well in apprunner. based on sarah's comments, i ran apprunner *before* viewer and didn't have any problems with the scrollbars. don't know what could be the cause of this...

Shall we add to M3 Release Notes?

I've seen this once in a couple of dozen sessions on windows. Its too random right now to tell anyone about and have the desciption make sense.

On Win NT with the April 26th Build, both vertical and horizonatl scroll bars are functional.
