Mhhm. Then why not have none or both expanded by default and have the expansion state remembered across visits? Also for tags it's different- the tags thingy doesn't show duplicate information, does it?

Also- the dialog is not resizable- making adding bookmarks in more complex trees a pain.

I disagree, the bookmark arrow shows all the folders, which has a scroll bar so you can view everything. I wouldn't mind it being resizable, but I think it is fine the way it is. Changing to enhancement and confirming.

One bug per issue, please. Always showing the full tree is WONTFIX, outright. It isn't useful enough, especially as people use tagging and autocomplete more than hierarchies. Resizable might be a dupe, also not sure if we have a good solution for resizing panels yet, but please file a new bug if there isn't one already.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
