Latest CCK Wizard Double click on the RunWizard.exe, to launch the CCK Wizard After Wizard is running, double-click the RunWizard.exe again. Results: users can launch multiple instances of CCK Wizard. Expected result: A message should display stating that only one instance of CCK Wizard can be run.

I don't see this as an urgent bug.

I can get it to crash fairly simply if I start launching multiple Wizards. Which would be easier: fixing the crash or just allowing one instance of the wizard? I thing we should assume the less permutations the customer has the better chance we, SQA, has of releasing a quality product. Seems to me the wizard is alreay a permuation nightmare as it is...why complicate it further? Bumping back to P2.

This doesn't fail or cause crashes anymore. I'd like to close this as wontfix. Objections?

Bijal - is there any reason against having multiple instances?
Allowing/testing for multiple instances of CCK can get complicated. What if a person is using two different CCK instances on the same configuration? Which one would override the other? Also, what if the end user runs the build process at the same time on the same configuration? Will there be a permission error? If the build process took 10 or more minutes, I could see the need to trigger multiple builds to save time. However, I believe it only takes a few minutes so I do not see the need to support multiple instances. Also, the more important question has been already asked in this thread. Is it easier to enforce a single instance or support multiple instances? Our customer only needs one instance.

It is considerably difficult to implement the single instance alone. Windows default is multiple and the way around this is a bit too laborious for us to try and handle right now- am marking it as Later.
Agreed. Not worth spending cycles on this until the CCK tool is 99% completed.
