In the latest version of Lightning, the date and time formats are inconsistent with those used in Thunderbird and those set in the Vista Regional and Language Options. I am resident in the UK and have the Lightning Timezone set to Europe/London. In Vista Regional and Language Options, I have the current format set to "English (United Kindom)", the current location set to "United Kingdom", the date format set to "dd/MM/yyyy" (day before month) and the time format set to "HH:mm:ss" (24 hour clock). In Thunderbird, dates and times are correctly shown as "dd/MM/yyyy" and "HH:mm".
BUT, in Lightning, dates are INCORRRECTLY shown as "M/dd/yyyy" (month before day, no leading zero on months) and times are INCORRECTLY shown as "h:mm AM/PM" (12 hour clock, no leading zero on hours).
By default, Lightning should comply with the Vista Regional and Language settings, although it would be nice to have an option to override these settings.
I am using Lightning/1.0pre(2009-01-21-04) and Shredder/3.0b2pre(2009-01-21).
