Can you provide a screen shot of what column you are talking about. I don't have a "position" column when I look inside my search folders.

Do you still have the "Location" in the list if you start thunderbird without lightning ? on both windows and Mac My list is :
* Unread
* Total - I don't use ligntning so I'm wondering if it comes from lightning

This happens also with lightning disabled. But I have strange behavior: 2 "saved search" folders. The firs has column "Location", other not.Maybe is a corruption profile problem?

Don't think so. What is different between the two searches ?

Maybe you did something more on he folder that has the extra "Location" field. If we figure out how to get it then we can certainly reproduce.

For reproduce:
create a "saved search" folder and when you press button choose for "select folder to search" flag on 2 differents folders.
You can confirm?

Ok I have a search folder with the "Location" Selector.

If you select the Location menu item it. The Location column should disappear from your view. At least this works for me on both Mac and Vista with 3.0b3pre.

Ok now move to another folder (e.g. move to Inbox folder) and after return to "saved search" folder: here "location" column reappear.
You can confirm?

Steps to reproduce :
* create a saved search that will include the location column (fiddle with the choose folder drop down list in the search dialog to get the location column)
* go to your saved search and choose which columns to display
* remove the location column from your display
* select your inbox folder
* go back to your saved search and see that the Location column is still on display
/me wonders who knows this code so he could peak at it.
