I've had this problem from day one with Windows seamonkey builds. My folders and message subjects are displaying, but my message pane won't show anything other than the Netcenter page. Peter and Ninoschka said they've seen the same thing, but their problems went away when they deleted the mozregistry.dat file. My problem isn't going away when I delete it. Is there anything else that might be affecting this? I regularly delete the whole installation directory before re-installing, and it's been a problem with several builds in a row, so I think it must be something else on a system level.
(Most recently, btw, I've been using the 1999-04-08-1800 build.)

Resolving to worksforme. With esther's help, I tried several things...changing things in the preferences file; changing the temp file directory structures; deleting mozregistry.dat; creating a new profile in 4.5, setting up mail preferences with it, deleting a message, compressing all folders, and then using that mail directory with 5.0; turning off my old PRLOGging env variable; and several reboots...eventually, it just started working, and once it did, it worked with all of the older prefs files that I had originally tried with, so I know it wasn't something incorrect in the preferences file. I have no idea what it was, though.
Marking as verified.
