OK, the machine is at a state where it can be imaged and powered down.
It was set up according to https://wiki.mozilla.org/ReferencePlatforms/Linux-CentOS-5.0_64-bit (with the set to install buildbot pulled ahead to be already included in the image), the root password is set to the same as on the Mac ref image we recently created, and a seabld user exists but is stripped of its ssh keys so no problems to give the image to non-SeaMonkey consumers.
You can safely leave the machine powered down until after today's downtime of the Parallels host, by the way.
