Using today's 82508 verification build on Linux, modern skin. Open mail compose window via NewMsg, reply, etc. enter subject click in body enter some text move mouse to Send button, without any mousedown Observed results: Text in the body is selected as I move the mouse. Cursor has I-beam icon, should be pointer. No mouseover effect on the button Clicking on button has no effect 1st and 2nd click. third time is a charm. Expected results: No selection, normal mouseover, single click operates button. reproducible: 100%

I'm not seeing this in form text fields/areas, just mail compose so far.

I see this too, reproducibly in mail compose. I've seen it in the editor and in text fields, too, but not reproducibly. It actually isn't the Send button that starts it: I see it start as soon as my mouse passes over the "Body Text" dropdown (which you have to cross to get to the Send button).

Linux (2000-08-25-08 M18) I saw it too. But if I do a click in the Body field. The problem goes away and let me click on the Send button
