I reported a bug (number 4474) which was closed again. However the apprunner and viewer still crash on launch with the same DLL error. The DLL is <communicator_install_dir>/Program/Plugins/npjava11.dll How is the bug closed when the program still crashes with the latest build (12/4/1999)? There was no explanation other than there was a problem with the Sun plugin, but surely this should be handled gracefully whatever it is? Communicator 4.5 does not crash on launch with this plugin, so I am confused as to the reason for closing the bug.

Hi again, I have made two changes to my system. I have installed the new JDK1.2.1 and associated JRE and plugin. I have installed the mozilla build from 15th April 1999. The viewer still gives the same DLL error message but no longer crashes when I click the OK button on the dialog. The apprunner however still crashes.

Bug 4474 is un-fixable on our side - the problem lies in the OJI plugin. Jan - how should I mark this - invalid?
