I already have one email account setup in mozilla, which seems to work fine.
Though whenever I start the mail client the account manager shows up as a blank
window with buttons. None of the buttons seem to do anything except for the
cancel button.
Whenever I click on the "New Account" button in the account setup window this
same blank window shows up. I would really like to be able to create more accounts.
Can you specify which build you are using? We have some bugs with the account
manager coming up blank, but I think they are now fixed.
from reporter via email: "M17 binary for Linux off of the servers"
by chance, did you ever click on a news URL? I'm wondering if you are seeing
bug http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48438.
from reporter: "Yes, that is the exact bug. I used the work around listed there
and it all works again. I can even create new accounts once again. I guess you
now have a data point of it also effecting the Linux builds."
I will mark this a dupe of that bug then. Thanks.

more from reporter: "While I am thinking about it, I now remember when it
started to happen. I clicked on a news url on accident, since I don't have a
news server from here I cancelled the newsetup. It started happening at that
point. More interesting is that I later setup the mozilla newserver so I could
read news from the developement newsgroups. This news server was the one with
valid set to false in prefs.js file. I get news fine from this server, and there
is no reason for it not to be marked as valid. It seems once you cancel one
news server setup all the setups after that fail to be marked valid."
