Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_1; en-gb) AppleWebKit/531.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.3 Safari/531.9
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3

If a certain type of error message pops up while the Save file dialogue is open (including saving to PDF) on OS X, as in the type of error message that warns of scripts slowing Firefox down, then the Save dialogue becomes unresponsive to both "Save" and "Cancel" buttons, and will not close. Because the Save dialogue is still open, the error message behind it can't be dismissed. This traps Firefox into a mostly non-functional state, as no window except the (non-functional) Save dialogue can be clicked on or interacted with. Clicking links in the OS still opens them in a new tab in Firefox, although the page cannot be clicked on. Quitting Firefox doesn't seem to work, and the browser must be force-quit.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose to save a file, or print a page as PDF.
2. While the "Save file" dialogue is open, wait for a warning about a script slowing Firefox down.
3. Conglaturation! Firefox is now non-functional, and you must use the force to quit it.
Actual Results:
The save dialogue locks out the rest of Firefox, and the error message locks out the save dialogue.

Expected Results:
The save dialogue should remain functional when error messages pop up.

I have seen this happen under both OS X 10.5 and OS X 10.6.
