Regression with the latest nightly build. Typing the mosilla to enter this bug. I have 40404 in the clipboard. When typing the summary for this bug it came out like this: undo, paste acti40404vated without modifiers when typing in a textarea or textfield I cannot use the third letter in the (normally spelled) word mosilla because it ativates the undo feature. No modifiers such as the ctrl or alt are being held down on my keyboard. Other keys do not bring up mosilla menus. very annoying bug!

Bringing over CC from bug 52240 This happened after Akkana's modification of keybindings checked in at 09/11/2000 19:01
and raising severity to blocker. I can't get mail, i can't go to URL's and i can't write comments in bugzilla with this bug sneaking around - moz is pretty much 100% useless today. All i can do is clicking bookmarks that are already there, but adding new ones mess up as soon as they contain a z or v.

Adding smoketest keyword... I don't think it would be possible to complete smoketesting with this bug present.

this is indeed a smoketest blocker. Holding the tree for it. adding myself and leaf. updating Platform and OS to all. I see this in mac, win32 and linux this morning. THis affects HTML forms and the URL bar but doesn't seem to affect mail compose.

reassign to akk

it affects the subject-line in mail-compose.
A workaround is to put your username and password in notepad, and then paste them in.
I can't read mail either because of this. I'll try the clipboard work around junruh suggested.
I'm looking. It doesn't happen in the tree from which I checked in my key binding changes yesterday. I'm updating to this morning's tip, and meanwhile I'll look through other checkins in bonsai and see if there's anything that looks suspicious, or anything that might have interacted with my changes. R.K.Aa: did your comment mean that you've narrowed it down to definitely being my checkins? If so, we should back me out, then find out later why it caused problems. (But I'd rather not do that unless you've definitely narrowed it down to me.) Has this been seen on all three platforms?

I see what happened. I am an idiot, and missed a file when I checked in. Pull xpfe/global/resources/content/htmlBindings.xml and these problems should all go away. Sorry for the regression, everybody!
Looks like that's the only file I forgot, so it should be happier now. Marking fixed.
