DOM Inspector 2.0.3 already installs in Songbird and can be used there via command line switch. However, it would be better to have the menu item as well. Fixing it is simply a matter of adding one line to chrome.manifest:
overlay chrome://browser/content/browser.xul chrome://inspector/content/tasksOverlay-ff.xul application=songbird@songbirdnest.com
Songbird UI is compatible with Firefox so that for many extensions (like DOM Inspector) nothing needs to be changed.
