User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5

1) Click on a link to download a file and click "Save As"
2) QUICKLY before the Finder dialog ("enter the name of the file to save to...") press command-shift-D, which maps both to "Bookmark all tabs" in Firefox and to "Desktop" in the Finder dialog. This is the key binding I usually use to save a file to the Desktop.
3) Now "Bookmark all tabs" will pop up with a modal dialog that expects "Cancel" or "Add Bookmarks".
4) Immediately after, the Finder "save this file" dialog will click up.
5) The "Bookmark this page" dialog will be unclickable and all clicks will go to the Finder "save this file" dialog.
5) But the Finder dialog's "Save" and "cancel" buttons will not work; pressing them will do nothing. There is no way to get out. The browser hasn't actually crashed now -- Flash and Javascript execute in the background -- but you can't do anything until it's forcibly quitted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click link to download file, click "save as"
2. Quickly press command-shift D.
Actual Results:
I was trapped. 'Save', 'Cancel', 'Add Bookmarks', and 'Cancel' all did nothing, yet they were my only way out of this modal dialog trap. I took a movie of how trapped I was and put it at http://tech.mit.edu/~mherdeg/lol.mov ; the movie may not make it clear that I tried clicking on all four relevant buttons. (The two in the Finder dialog light up, but do nothing. The two in Firefox don't "light up" or show any change when I click on them.)

Expected Results:
I should have been able to hit 'Save' or 'Cancel' in the Save As dialog. *OR* I should have been able to hit 'Cancel' or 'Add Bookmarks' in the Add Bookmarks dialog.

On other configurations of OS X where the Finder uses command-D instead of command-shift-D for "go to desktop", I experienced the exact same bug, but with "add bookmark" instead of "add all tabs as bookmarks" as the modal dialogs lurking in the background apparently breaking the Save As dialog.
I'm pretty sure this is the same as bug 459312, from about a year ago, which didn't appear to get any follow-up.
@Michael, this is a duplicate of bug 459312 and bug 504066. Also, it is very frustrating because I often press command-shift-D to select the Desktop as my download-to destination.
