The goal is to reduce the barrier to hacking on Gecko by using standard APIs and datatypes when possible.
Two immediate work items are (i) creating xpcom/ ADTs with STL-like APIs and (ii) migrating away from PR* types and to stdint types.
Please don't comment directly in this bug, but rather in its more specific dependents.
