This idea of ONLY having the "help" for Thunderbird (or indeed any program) online is a stupid idea.
It's a stupid idea, in general because:
a) There is so little extra to "add to the program" as a help section; and
b) When things go wrong, as they frequently do, it quite often includes not being able to get online.... etc..
c) And I also resent having to go online to a website, to read the "help" documentation, just because a bunch of stupid people expect me too.. on they basis of them not being able to get their **** together enough to include it with the program in the first place.
And sure there will be the usual crowd who say "Ohhhhh we have it online so it can always be updated etc... " or some other ****. (instead of including it as an update - if there is much to ever update)
To which I will answer., "Do you leave your spare tyre at home when you go on a long trip, because you can always be sure that it's fully inflated?"
If not then don't impose your stupid rational for breaking a program up - an ONLINE INTERNET program, so that when the internet connection does go out., people can't get the manual for the program....
Yeah I hear the Mozilla Morons cry, "Oh we are all internet professionals - if your internet connection ever stops working, just go to this site www.iman.idiot.com for our internet helpline phone number.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Thunderbird.
2. Click on Help
3. Click on Release Notes....
