For background, please see bug #3264. Because of this lack, nsIFileLocator is currently not available in viewer. This is not a big deal, but perhaps it is a bigger deal for embedding applications.

You're right. It lives in AppShell (though it wraps nsFileLocations). Reassigning to mcmullen.

This is a viewer-specific problem, i.e. it doesn't affect apprunner. So priority is low and who says we'll ever fix this anyway. :-)

I can find no reference to either an nsIFileLocator nor a file locator service in either the mozilla or netscape trees. I have to assume that time has rendered this bug invalid.
