Mac 5.0 build 4/28 reproduced on 2 Macs Steps: 1. Install the MRJ 2.1 from the Apple site 2. Copy the 5.0 Netscape Plugins folder from the MRJ plugin folder to the Extensions folder 3. Launch the apprunner 4. Apprunner crashes just after it is displayed with the error message "cashed with an execption at 0B2D5C50 _ _som_check_ev+02784"

I can't get this to happen on either my G3 at home or my G3 at work. Make sure you have Macsbug on your machine, and I'll come over and do some debugging.

I've seen this occur under low memory conditions. How much memory is in these machines?
I've added some code to the plugin and OJI to make low memory condition less likely to crash. Will be checking in for M6.

Should no longer happen with 1.0d8 plugin. I get the error message "Failed to create Java VM" in the debug build.
