I have installed M17 on Compaq's OpenVMS operating system. M17 is the atest
build for this OS. I can display Hebrew web pages and see the Hebrew
charecters. When I try to type Hebrew in the browser I get rubbish. The component
field is just a guess, I had no idea what to choose.
Summary: Can't type Hebrew chareceters → Can't type Hebrew characters

I am the OpenVMS porter. Does anyone know if this problem is OpenVMS specific?
I see that 34237 is reporting that you can't enter Hebrew text in the Windows
version either (note that the OpenVMS version builds "as UNIX").
Also, M18 is available for OpenVMS, and, as of today, M0.6. Could the reporter
install one of these versions and verify that the problem still exists.
And finally, I know nothing about entering Hebrew into a MOTIF application. Is
there a key sequence or something to switch to Hebrew input?

Over four months and no real response to this. Can someone comment? Is this a
problem on other platforms? Is it supposed to work?
Guy, HOW is this meant to work? What behaviour do you expect?
i think this is a dupe of bug 74088, If OpenVMS is using Xlib instead of Gtk
please tell me =) [I use Xlib builds]
