Using Commercial 2000101608 on WinNT 4.0 SP4.
Here's what I saw: On a system with one unmigrated Nav4 profile and the default
N6 profile, start up Netscape 6. When profile picker appears, choose to create a
new profile. Netscape 6 crashes.
Haven't been able to attempt to reproduce this yet because bug 57001 is causing
the profile picker not to appear on startup in the first place.
Marking regression, crash, and rtm for consideration as a possible rtm stopper.

OK, I reproduced this by launching the User Profile Manager from the Windows
startup menu and attempting to create a new user profile. The crash occurs when
you attempt to create a new user profile *in a directory other than the
default*. (Updated Summary accordingly.) Steps to repro:
0) on D:, create a D:\Programs\N6\Profiles directory in which you intend to
place your new profile.
1) from desktop, launch Profile Manager
2) click "Create Profile"
3) click Next
4) enter "ekrock-n62" as profile name
5) Choose Folder
FYI: My N6 is installed on the D: drive, but
C:\\WINNT\PROFILES\EKROCK\APPLICATION\DATA\Mozilla\Users50\ekrock-n62 comes up
as the default location for the new profile.
6) in the Choose Folder dialog, select D:\N6\Profiles as the directory for the
new profile and hit return; in the dialog, you now see D:\N6\Profiles\ekrock-n62
shown as the intended new directory
7) click Finish. N6 crashes 100% of time. Have now seen this 4 of 4 tries.
Summary: crash on attempting to create new profile → crash on attempting to create new profile in directory other than default

Confirmed that if I create profile in the default directory, all goes well.
Add'l info:
(1) Talkback does not come up on the crash even though I have it installed; not
able to submit Talkback report.
(2) When you relaunch the profile manager after the crash, you'll see the the
new profile name does appear in the list of profiles, and you are able to launch
Netscape 6 using the new profile. So it seems that the profile *is* being
created, but then N6 immediately crashes.
If we don't fix this, we should release note it.

I can reproduce this on branch build 2000101808 but doing more than steps
listed here.
Doing- create profile, next, enter profile name, choose folder, press finish- I
have not been able to crash (5 attempts)
Doing- create profile, next, enter profile name, choose folder, press back
button - crash (more often than not)
edge case?

I cannot reproduce this, using either set of steps, on any windows branch build
(Windows 98 or Windows 2000). (2000102017)

-deleted all profiles in the list including Default User, create
new profile in non-default dir, press back and next and finish.
