build id: 1999042908, on windows nt
to reproduce: go to netscape.com. reload until you get a pop-up ad. when the
pop-up ad is drawn, although the window size is correct, most of the window is
populated with chrome (sidebar, taskbar, etc.). that stuff shouldn't be there.

I have it set up so that the chrome mask is passed in to "SetNewWebShellInfo".
The webshellwindow needs to cache the chrome mask in a member variable and then,
following the end of the chrome loading, it needs to alter the visibility of
chrome elements.
The toolbar and status bar should no longer appear in popups, but the menubar and sidebar
still will. Bug is partially fixed.

Mass migration of minor danm bugs from M7 -> M8
Severity: minor → normal
OS: Windows NT → All
Hardware: PC → All
Whiteboard: [BETA]
Still a big problem in the 1999092308 build - Netcenter pop-up ads have an open
Sidebar in them as well as a grey rectangle with a throbber and some graphic
debris in them. Upgrading severity and marking BETA (given the good chance that
Netcenter will be the default home page for the beta, we really don't want
anything this obviously 'bad' happening...).

The only problem I notice with today's build is that the window is too small
(see bug 3338). This bug should have been finally knocked off when davidm
knocked the sidebar out of popups. That was a long time ago; probably around
the date that cpratt last noticed it was still broken. Hopefully just after that.
Anyway, I think this is fixed. Please re-open and give specifics if you still see
a problem (the netscape.com spam window seems fine to me, even after I re-enabled
the sidebar in my browser window (just in case.))

That stuff isn't there in the 1999122008 M13 build on Linux at least. And yes,
the window is too small (scrollbars are drawn). Not this bug though. Verifying
WFM.
