The mockup in bug 556174 features an item called "New Private Window", but such a feature doesn't actually exist. We should probably just duplicate the standard PB toggle from the Tools menu.
is it intended that "New Private Window" or "New Private Tab" to become a feature of Firefox 4?

Not sure which iteration was the latest at the time of this posting but iteration 4 shows "Start Private Browsing" with a submenu that includes 'Start Private Browsing' and 'Clear Recent History...' http://people.mozilla.com/~faaborg/files/20100718-firefoxButtonDetails/firefoxButton-i4.png CC'ing Alex to get confirmation that this is what he is looking for before I assign this to myself.

We might move clear recent history back to the history menu (or have it appear in both places). Either way, feel free to get the start private browsing command added.
I'm duping this change forward to bug 583386 so that we can centralize discussion, work, and blocking status for beta 4.
