Compiled mozilla from the CVS Fri Apr 30 on a Solaris 5.6 system with egcs 1.1.1. Open the URL http://www.cs.umn.edu/~konstan and look at the image of the person. Text seems to be rendered right over the image. Also note that the image is on the left side of the screen in communicator 4.0 but in viewer the image is under the text. If I resize the window so that it becomes less wide, the image will jump down and to the left. Some of the text will jump with the image while other text will not. Very stange.

Kipp -- this sure looks like one of yours. Please take a look.

I just pulled the CVS and compiled today (Mon May 10). I noticed that the layout of this page is a little better. The strage thing is that the links which show up below the image (2nd image down) in other browsers now jump from below to the right side when you reside the width of mozilla.

I looked at this a few days ago and do not recall being able to reproduce the bug. However, I will examine this in more detail. [dbaron: removing M15 marker to get this back onto our radar]

The jumping no longer occurs, and the vertical whitespace is as per spec. I am marking this WORKSFORME on Win98. Someone with a Solaris build should check that it no longer occurs on that platform either. If there are still some layout problems on this page, please re-open the bug.
