From n.p.m.browser.qa comes: Can someone do me a big favor and submit bugs against BrowserTune 98? http://www.browsertune.com/bt98/ First of all, the layout of the page doesn't even render correctly and that's before running the actual test suite. Thanks arielb So, here is the requested bug report (sigh). I'll be attaching a simple test case shortly. The page has two tables: a left hand column (align=left, width=128), and a main content table (width=466, no alignment), *but* there is a little bit in between the tables -- a

phrase. This phrase gets placed below the left hand column, and the main content table, of course, now flows in below that (as opposed to its intended location to the right of the LH column). (Actually, that fact the main content is a table is irrelevant to the problem). (Tested Apr28 win96 opt).

Chris -- this may be yours or kipps, so I'm starting with you. The simple test case given clearly reveals the layout problem. The content model looks correct.
I think this has to do with inline elements that contain block elements (and thus would be Kipp's). I'll attach two or three test cases. There seem to be situations where clear doesn't work. However, some of it may be parser-related (related to error-handling for unclosed elements).

Reassigning to Kipp.

Whiteboard: looks like a WORKSFORME, except for a reflow bug - py8ieh
Target Milestone: M15
I see no difference between the rendering of the last attachement and the last but one attachement. Both have a reflow bug, but once reflowed, layout is correct. Is this bug thus fixed, apart from the reflow problem? [dbaron: I removed the M15 marker to get this bug back onto our radar]

The reflow bug has gone. The overlap problem is now clearly visible. It is a duplicate of bug 991. Test cases have been listed on 991 to ensure the bugs are not lost if 991 does not fix them. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 991 ***
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
