Details

With M5 on my french NT 4.0 SP3 station when I do the following: - apprunner tasks->messenger - click on New Msg - Start entering text in a field (any field including body text) - switch to another window using the task bar - go back to the Message Compose window => the focus has not been preserved and is not in the field I was editing. Moreover if I was editing the body of the message I still have the blinking bar as a visual cue which is quite misleading. Antoine.

Since I know focus is Greg's favorite issue, I'll send this one over to him :-) Antoine, I'm pretty sure we don't expect this to work yet.

Target Milestone: M8
Accepting bug, setting milestone to M8 (we have a dependency on Hyatt for focus work -- expected completion is in M7). This may still require some work on the part of the mail news team depending on the solution provided by XPToolit. Adding Phil and Jean-Francois to the CC list.

Any clicking away on a toolbar or other UI except for menus does not return focus to the window. The real bug is in XPFE hands. bug 5750 tracks the issue for Composer group. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 5750 ***
