Ummmm. The color picker is supposed to be a widget implemented by XPFE team. Peter: Is this still on your schedule? I will be happy to assist as much as I can.
Yes, evaughan is on track for delivering a bare-bones color picker widget in M8, that's what bug 7248 is about. I'm guessing that this bug describes features that are unique to the needs of the editor, therefore not part of the XPToolkit widget.
