I just want it to remain open like in previous Firefox versions so I can search in other Tabs too for what I'm looking for. The actual behavior is very annoying since the Search Bar disappears every time you switch the Tab. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Search Bar with Ctrl+F or mouse gestures 2. Switch to another Tab Actual Results: Search Bar disappears for no reason Expected Results: Search Bar should not disappear when you switch to another Tab Sad thing is that Firefox is becoming worse with each passing day. I think it needs another 10 Betas before final release to fix all these BUGS.

It's a recent regression between beta 11 and beta 12.
