Summary: We're bringing up the Download dialog when we shouldn't after performing View Image in Mail/News. (I think this is a recent regression). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click any image in a message 2. Select View Image Expected Results: We should automagically open a new browser window and display the image. Actual Results: We open the Download dialog box and are poorly recognizing the file type as /octet-stream, which is normally reserved for .exe.
Build 2001010108 Linux and build 2000123120 on Win32, Mac build was 2000122910.
Weird. Actually, mozilla opens a new browser window and *then* tries to download it as octec-stream as noted.
over to mscott, this sounds like his area. updating summary. cc'ing rpotts, too, since steve thinks this might be a recent regression. steve, I assume this was an IMAP message, right?

Marking FIXED. This is working for me again using build 2001021505 NT 4.0, build 2001021508 Mac, and build 2001021508 on RedHat 7.0. Karen, please VERIFY. Thanks.

stephend: btw, we prefer to mark bugs that mysteriously get fixed as WORKSFORME rather than as FIXED. FIXED means that there is a particular checkin that we could back out if we needed to.
Reopening this bug since problem is still existing on Linux ONLY. (OK for the other platforms). Adding pp for the keywors. This is Context menu bug - reassign to Ninoschka

This is working for me with: Windows 2000 fresh CVS trunk pull Mac OS 9.1 2001050808. When I right click on an image in a message and select View Image, it open in a navigator window, and doesn't give me the download dialog.
Marking worksforme, Ninoschka, can you verify on linux? Thanks.

I should note that this works with message with come from a URL, but not using IMAP: protocols, etc.
This works for me with 2002040808. Platforms: Linux, W2K (both using above build) Win98SE (using build 20020328??) This is using an IMAP account. Works for me: opens the image in the browser and does not display a download dialog.
I changed QA contact from nbaca to olgam.

This worksforme on today's linux branch build. I'll mark it as such so it can go through the regular QA cycle once we get back to the trunk.
