Basically the idea is to do the blue-sky idea for a "cite" button in the toolbar. This would be done as follows: The button is added to the skin, the xul file is updated to include the button, and the locale adds the stuff for it. This is where I need some help. The button points to javascript that loads a page that is built-into the res dir. This file has a frameset that looks like: <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>NoodleBib - The MLA Bibliography Composer</TITLE> <META name="description" content="NoodleBib: The Automated MLA Bibliography Composer!"> <META name="keywords" content="research, school, bibliography, bibliographies, online bibliographies, online research, research online, citation, citations, cite, citing, book, magazine, encyclopedia, journal, article, reference book, dictionary, literature, email, interview, scholarly project, map, newspaper, chart, information database, Web site, CD-ROM, periodical, Works Cited, research paper, educational, education, NoodleBib, NoodleQuest, Abilock, Damon Abilock, Debbie Abilock, MLA, APA, MLA format, APA format, Chicago Manual of Style"> <!-- NoodleBib: The Automated MLA Bibliography Composer! --> <FRAMESET cols="165,*,20" frameborder="0" border=0 framespacing= "0"> <FRAMESET rows="*,100" frameborder="0" border=0 framespacing="0"> <FRAME name="sidebar" src="./sidebar.php3" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="Auto" frameborder="0" framespacing="0" noresize> <FRAME name="humanclick" src="./humanclick.html" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" noresize framespacing="0"> </FRAMESET> <FRAMESET rows="30,40,*,50" frameborder="0" border=0 framespacing="0"> <FRAME name="navbar" src="./navbar.html" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" noresize framespacing="0"> <FRAME name="foot" src="./bottom.php3" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" noresize framespacing="0"> <FRAME name="main" src="./displayBib.php3" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="Auto" frameborder="0" framespacing="0"> <FRAME name="head" src="./top.php3" marginwidth="0" marginheight= "0" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" noresize framespacing="0"> </FRAMESET> <FRAME name="rightbar" src="./rightbar.html" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="No" frameborder="0" noresize framespacing="0"> </FRAMESET> </HEAD> <BODY> </BODY> <NOFRAMES>NoodleBib - The MLA Bibliography Composer. Please check that your browser supports frames. </BODY></NOFRAMES> </HTML> I will contact the noodletools people to get an ok for this. Then, the javascript will fill in parts of the form with the url of the page and the title of the page (document.location, document.title) that the person clicked the cite button from. The user can then fill in the rest of the form and be in the noodletools system to continue their bibilography.

I think this is pure extension fodder. In fact I think that the Zotero extension is probably a perfect fit for the description in this bug. All that is needed is to get the Zotero developers to do the necessary.
