-promoting fake beta to Aurora users via about:home snippet - can we get the beta logo and wordmark resize to (40x50png) for about:home snippet use (see attachment) - snippet will be pushed to production by this coming Friday 4/29 and will need asset before that date. thanks!

What wordmark is that?

That isn't our Beta wordmark, so I don't think we should be using that. I think that is the headline image from the channel page. For a snippet about beta, I would think it should just be the Firefox logo since we shouldn't be having the wordmark crunched into a 40x50 image.

Agree with Sean that we don't want to squish the wordmark (or any text, really) in a tiny snippet. And that's definitely not the beta lockup (which is why I didn't want to use that presentation of the logo + channel name, since it could be confused with the official lockup). We've *definitely* done FF logos as snippets before. Could you please follow up with Laura F on that? She should have a collection of past snippets and surely FF is in her files. Marking as won'tfix - LoFo should definitely have this :) She will likely have other snippet icons that we've used for the beta before. I believe last time we had one with a bit of highlighted glow effect behind it.

It's worth noting that we generally are trying to stay away from using the Fx logo in snippets (since there's already a large Fx logo on the page, it's not all that differentiated). But, it's also hard to communicate 'beta' as a concept in a 40x50 size without using the logo.

But, it's also hard to communicate 'beta' as a > concept in a 40x50 size without using the logo. thanks for the info. i can also check with LauraF to see what other options we have. it doesn't have to be the firefox logo. i almost feel that it won't be as effective with the Firefox logo, as you mentioned it's already on top of the page and want the users to clearly spot that it's beta and not get confuse with final release. i'll double check with lauraf to see what have and keep you posted if we need any additional resizing of images. thanks.

lauraF gave me some options and decided to use the image attached to promote channel switcher. thanks again!
