Consider the attached screenshot of SVG file located at http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c2/Zachman_Framework_Model.svg rendered by seamonkey and inkscape - I believe comments are unnesessary. Tinkering with font definitions inside the file - font-size, individual glyphs, even removing the font defs completely made no change at all, looks like seamonkey just ignores font definitions in SVG.
