As you type a newsgroup, say netscape.public.mozilla.general mozilla should
display a popup auto-complete list like that of Navigator and IE5.
I'd suggest only completing upto the next dot.

I'm inferring from the reporter's summary that they are talking about a request
for match/autocomplete in subscribe rather than when posting to a newsgroup (as
suggested in bug 61491).
Embarrassing, yes. Re-opening and leaving alone this time ;-(.

What's the point of adding autocomplete? As you type in the "show items that
contain" textbox, Mozilla already updates the listbox to contain only matching
items. The listbox is more useful than autocomplete because you might want to
subscribe to more than one of the newsgroups in the list of matches.

Bulk reopening incorrectly expired bugs - no activity does not constitute no bug - these need proper checking.

I agree with comment 4, but let's see what our module owner thinks.

Well adding him to the CC list might get a faster response :)

Karsten receives bugmail for all SM MailNews bugs, independent from the CC list. Just like e.g. me for Help.

Well, I do get them all (a lot!), but I'm not always capable of reading them all, and then those I'm cc'd to are priorized. But please don't cc me to each and every bug... ;-)
And yes, it's WONTFIX, comment 4 hits the nail. ;-)
