If I have a valid msf file in the right place, it should be loading and populating the thread pane. this used to work, but now it's broken. this is mac only.

Yes, I have mail working on my Mac now, but no, with the May 17 build, I can't get news to work. I don't know if it should work in the May 17 build...this is the first time I've even tried to get news to work on the Mac, and I really don't yet know my way around the mac conventions for standard news file names. I just tried to follow the instructions on the smoketest page, which worked for news on Linux.

Seth had told me just a short while ago that news on Mac won't be working for a little while.

lisa is correct. there are several mac [PP] bugs on news that I'm working on. You're better off not using it until those are fixed.

Verified in the Mac May 20 Nova build (1999052008). News thread now load in the thread pane. Separate bug - news messages don't load in message pane.
