Need the ability to print Sidebar content independent of the browser window. In
addition, need the ability to view source of Sidebar Web page for accessibility
requirements.

How? What is the contextual menu option that is independent of having a browser
window on the right?

Right click in a sidebar panel and choose View Frame Source.

Okay, Kevin indicated that the menu items for viewing Sidebar content are
labeled "Frame" something which is not intuitive.

Right- I don't want to rehash something that's already been decided, but it
seems to make sense to replace "frame" with either "Tab," or "MySidebar." Also,
I'm not connecting viewing the source allows the user to print that tab. I know
that loading the tab in the browser window allows this in a "one-off" fashion,
but the idea here is to make it more usable/intuitive, and adding a "Print this
Tab" item to the ontext menu probably makes sense. cc:ing german.

If you follow that argument to its logical conclusion then we'll end up with
all of the `Edit' menu (except for `Preferences'), most of the `File' menu, and
most of the `View' menu, duplicated in the sidebar tab context menu -- making
the context menu practically unusable.
I think the appropriate solution to this bug is to fix bug 42758, and then to
make page-specific menu commands apply to the sidebar tab if it has focus.
Removing access keyword -- that only applies when something is possible by
using the mouse but not by using the keyboard, or vice versa, not when it is
not possible at all. Keyboard access to the sidebar is covered by bug 30864.
Keywords: access

No, we won't. ;-) My intent here is to respond to a highly requested function by
users in the feedback newsgroup. I wouldn't recommend adding *everything* in the
aforementioned menus simply to support logic. We've heard from users, and adding
a "Print this Tab" function in the context menu is something they've requested.
The solution to have menu commands apply to tabs like they would apply to
frames or pages is a the right approach for more extensive functionality
outside the scope of a quick and handy context menu.
But this approach is dependent upon other bugs that allow a sidebar tab to be
focused. Right now a sidebar tab can only have a focused editfield in it as far
as I know. There is currently no other notion of a focused tab.

The content area of a tab can be focused, though. Isn't that what we really
need here anyway?

I agree I think it would a be a good thing to have a focused tab content area,
but I am pretty certain that does not currently exist.

If I click inside the CNN sidebar and then press the down arrow key, that
sidebar's content area scrolls. So it is possible to focus a HTML sidebar
panel... I'm not sure about other types of panels.
