Reassigning to Navin, who did some work in this area.
Stephane, a protocol log would be very helpful for us. Here are some
instructions for generating a protocol log:

Hmm....I am getting the same problem from Communicator 4.77....
Looks like this is a server problem (will attach the log for 4.77 too)
Yann, can you tell me how you empty trash successfully from 4.7x?
It only works for the FIRST time launch, after the second time -- it failed.
Are you sure this server is ready to test? It seems there is problem for the
incoming messages too from this server......

i have the same problem. If I delete the Trash Folder on my Exchnage Server with
Outlook and then reconnect with Mozilla and an existing Account, the Trash
Folder is dislayed in the List of folders but cant be opened or pruned on exit.
This is related to Bug #118525 where i have reported, that Mozilla is using a
Foler Trash instead of "Gelöschte Objekte" which is the name on Exchange if you
open the Profile with german Outlook.

My guess is that Outlook is not unsubscribing from the trash folder when you
delete it. You can use Mozilla to unsubscribe from the Trash folder so that it
will stop showing it to you.

hmm.. outlook is not using IMAP... does that mean if i open an imap account with
mozilla, it will not check which folders are existing and which are gone?
Comment 18•23 years ago
|
||
Outlook, or more properly, the Exchange Server, supports IMAP, otherwise Mozilla
couldn't talk to it. Mozilla uses IMAP subscription to determine which folders
the user wants to see.
Comment 19•23 years ago
|
||
are those subscriptiopns stored on the server if mozilla logs off?
Comment 20•23 years ago
|
||
yes, subscriptions are stored on the server, permanently (you can change it from
the client, but that change is stored on the server). File | Subscribe will let
you edit your subscriptions.
