User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:7.0a2) Gecko/20110804 Firefox/7.0a2 Iceweasel/7.0a2 Build ID: 20110804042002 Steps to reproduce: Firefox is great in that there are many ways to 'view source'. However once one is inside of a "Soucre of:" window, there is no way to do the opposite. Sure one can click on the links inside such a source window, but that just leads to more source. No, you would think at least there would be a right menu option to "view rendered link in other window", but no, it's a source lock-in. And of course there is no menu item to view the rendered version of the current document. You _just assume_ it is still available in another window. One at best must do a tedious copy and paste of such URLs into new tabs, etc. And don't tell me to add an add on.

dupe of bug 469434, unless you want a "open in new tab/window"
(In reply to Jo Hermans from comment #1) > dupe of bug 469434, unless you want a "open in new tab/window" bug 469434 is just give a dog a bone. I want a whole proper can of dog food. Not only do I want a right mouse item for copying links while there in a source window, I also items for 'see source of this link in a new window' and **see rendered page for this link in a whole new genuine window/tab**. And also a top of window item in the menus to 'see this page rendered, in a whole new fresh tab/window" e.g., "browse the current source file in Firefox" (such a basic want!)

Go ahead, in 'view source' see a nice juicy link you want to browse. Ha, you will need many many steps to browse it, vs. the one single click needed in non-'view source' windows! Firefox just assumes that since we are in view-source mindset, we just want to view source all day.
View source of something, then there click something, then attempt to go back, need to use mouse right menu, as there is no arrows at the left corner anymore, making the user think there is no way to go back. FF28.
after bug 1088785, this is still an issue
