Events are not always being delivered to the correct window by the events system, events that should be going to the Messenger window are getting redirected to the Browser window and breaking inline input. Since inline input is stateful, if an event gets dropped or mis-routed it prevents the IME input from working.
Summary: [Blocker]Events being delivered to the wrong window → [Blocker]Events being delivered to the wrong window
I can't fix this without a text case or some advice on how to reproduce the problem.
steps to reproduce: (1) launch apprunner on Japanese NT (2) open up a messenger window (3) activate IME (either hit alt + ` or click on the pencil icon in the taskbar) (4) start typing a good phrase is watakushinonamaehanakanishidesu. (exactly in sequence) (5) repeat (4) until the browser window pops up. you won't have to wait long. The problem also occurs under purely English input.
soory, (2) should be open a messenger window and click on the new message button

So are people still seeing this? I'm trying to reproduce it on my English NT box and I don't see it. Is it there still and I can't see it or is it somehow an i18n thing (based on bug steps).
Target Milestone: M8
M7 is leaving the depot very soon. This doesn't look urgent since no progess for awhile. Putting on M8 radar.
Been a while since this has been updated. I ask again, is this being seen because I still haven't seen it or been able to reproduce it.
haven't seen this in a while. i'm okay with closing it out.
