Using 1999052108 m6 on NT 4.0 Using 1999052109 m6 on Linux Redhat 5.2 Selecting a news article which has been cancelled will hang apprunner. Steps to reproduce: 1. Seamonkey user: Open a profile which has netscape.test on news.mozilla.org and display the group. Do not select and display any messages yet due to bug #6908 where Mac & Linux can only display ONE news message. 2. From a 4.x machine, post a message to the newsgroup. 3. Seamonkey: Get Msg for the netscape.test group. The message posted by the 4.x user shows in the thread pane. Do not select the message in the thread pane yet. 4. As the 4.x user, Edit|Cancel the news posting. Confirm --> news posting is now removed from 4.x view. 5. Seamonkey: Select the (cancelled) message in the thread pane. RESULT: apprunner hangs.
