From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.75C-SGI [en] (X11; I; IRIX64 6.5 IP30) BuildID: 20010301 I downloaded the nightly build as of 3/1/2001. I tried accessing a page requiring Java (e.g. java.sun.com). I get an icon saying "click here to download plugin". I click. It downloads. It installs (successfully, according to the installer). The icon has changed to "click here after you install" or somesuch. I click. There is a pause. The icon reverts back to "click here to download plugin". I tried exiting Mozilla; exiting windows; downloading the plugin again (several times, in several different ways). I tried with the 0.8 milestone release. Same behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: (Given in description) Actual Results: Java doesn't seem to work under any circumstances. Expected Results: Java should have been activated after the plugin was successfully installed.
You need to copy the plugin DLL manually after the install -- the installer screws up. Details in the bug this is a duplicate of. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 66840 ***
