Using perf build 3-12-01 on windows (mac and linux still need to be tested)
Standalone message window context menu problems (need to identify all of them
and list in this bug). Steps to be added soon.

Esther, "steps to be added soon"? This bug is invalid as long as no problem is
observed and noted here.
Comment 3•23 years ago

Ok then, marking this bug invalid as no comment, no steps, or actually nothing
is reported.

Build 2001-06-19-04: WinMe
Changing Summary from "Standalone msg window context menu problems" to "Stand
Alone Context Menus: Nothing particular is selected"
The following changes should be made in the Stand Alone context menu when
nothing specific is selected (It should match the context menu in the 3pane's
Message Pane):
1. Remove
a. Open Link in New Window
b. Edit Link in Compose
c. Copy
d. Reply to Newsgroup (since a mail message is being viewed)
e. View Image
f. Copy Link Location
g. Copy Image Location
h. Save Link As...
i. (A)
j. Bookmark this Link
2. Add
a. Delete: menu item, "D" for mnemonic, "Del" for accelerator
3. Change
b. Reply to All, mnemonic from "p" to "t"

And this is different from bug 46484 how? Bear in mind that context menus for
mail and news share the same code.
Oh, and where's the performance problem?
Comment 6•23 years ago
|
||
Bug 46484 is accessed through the 3pane's Message Pane. To see the Stand Alone
window double click onto a message from the Thread Pane. The message contents
should appear in its own window.

Removing "perf" from the Status Whiteboard since I currently do not see a
performance problem. There were problems before.

FYI, the "perf" in the status whiteboard was initally added for tracking of the
regressions from the mailnews perf. branch.
this looks and sound like a dup of bug 46484 as it looks (to me) that they use
the same context menu.

It is not dup of News bug 46484 - there are some News specific menu items there.
I believe, in comment #5 James meant the same code for 3-pane and Stand Alone.
It is a good point, I should test Stand Alone in parallel with 3-pane. So far,
we have a few other Stand Alone context menu bugs. I'd rather keep them.
I am going to add: 'and 3-pane win:' to the summary to reflect that the same
issue presents in 3-pane window as well.
Summary: Stand Alone Context Menus: Nothing particular is selected → Stand Alone and 3-pane win: Context Menus: Nothing particular is selected

Trunk build 2003-01-21: WinMe
The context menu in the Stand Alone window and the 3pane window mostly look
correct.
The remaining problem is that "Select -A-ll" and "Reply to -A-ll" use "A" as a
mnemonic. The mnemonic for "Reply to All" should change to use the "t".

Reply to All now uses _R_. All issues appear to be fixed.
