I've several mail accounts with several ISP's To send mail with those different ISP's, I've to change the default SMTP server to be able to send mail, everytime I call another ISP. It should be much easier, if I compose a message and then choose the smtp server to send to. Just like get mail with several account. Press the button is the default SMTp-server, and an option to choose from a drop down list. Thanks. Martijn
Is this what you are looking for? Edit menu, Mail/News Account Settings Highlight Outgoing Server (SMTP) and click Advanced... Add in all your SMTP servers. Now highlight each of your email accounts in turn and click Advanced... Select the SMTP server with which to send email. Or change the default SMTP server as necessary.
No, this is not exactly what I ment. I've several dial-in accounts. When I dial in with providerA, I have to use SMTP-serverA and when I dial in with providerB, I have to use SMTP-serverB If I could not dial-in to providerA, or providerA is slow, I change to providerB, but then I also have to change the SMTP-server to SMTP-serverB. Now I change every time the default SMTP-server, but it would be much easier if I could choose the SMTp-server when sending the mail.
Right now, you can choose from which Identity to send it from, but you can't choose which SMTP server specifically you'd like to send from on the fly. I think this is a DUP of bug 52384 (although that bug's summary has been questioned).
