I can not move just received messages (not affected by any message filter -
means from Inbox) to any other folder. The move menu appears, but does nothing.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Message is not affected by any message filter and arrives to Inbox
2. Attempt to move message manually to any other folder.
3. "Move" in step 2 does nothing. The message remains in Inbox.

reporter,
How are you moving the message? From the menu item messages|move message or
from right click menu or tool bar icon file? Which folder are you moving it to
imap folder or pop folder.

confirming this bug.
Linux buildid-2001042308
Moving from pop inbox to any local folder from the context menu, toolbar button,
or file menu item messages|move does nothing.
Gives the following error: MsgMoveMessage failed: [Exception... "Component

[nsIMsgDBView.doCommandWithFolder]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)"

Nominating this for nsbeta1 should be able to move messages.

It works on my debug build.

Sheela, is this only happening on Linux? It works on Win2000. Marking nsbeta1+.
We should investigate this given that Sheela can see a js exception in the console.

Buildid: 2001042508 linux
2001042505 win98
2001042509 mac
I can move a newly arrived and existing message from inbox to another folder
I feel this bug is fixed and not a bug anymore. Move works on the above build.
And on linux I am not getting any JS exception in the console.
reporter,
dowload the above build and you should be able to move the message.

marking WFM given that Sheela was able to reproduce this before and now isn't.
If it's not true, then please reopen.
