Seeing with PC Linux 2001042406: First time you visit Privacy/Security tab it is shown properly. Second time you go to Privacy/Security tab buttons are not drawn to right places and they are badly clipped. After xrefresh preferences window is drawn as it should be. Is this the same problem you are seeing?
what's an xrefresh and how do i do one?
X11 window system has a command named xrefresh that forces the redraw of the whole screen. I don't know about Windows but with X11 you can emulate xrefresh with hiding the preferences window (for example with other window or collapsing it).
nope, didn't work. Putting another window (WordPerfect) in front of mozilla (with prefs) does not fix the display :(

Thats a messed up profile. Create a new profile and that will fix the problem.
methinks this is essentially the same as bug 76980 --however, peter's screenshots here are quite informative. i'll add some to the earlier bug if he doesn't beat me to it... :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 76980 ***

Creating a new profile is definetely NOT an option! I have 200+ MB of important mail in this profile, and unless there is a good way to tranfer all my mail, address books, bookmarks, etc, I cannot do that :( If there is a file i can edit or delete that will fix this without too much affecting my mail etc, then OK.
(Have a good backup of your profile before playing with profiles) Can you create new temporary profile to test if creation of new profile will fix this problem?
I just created a new profile "TEST" on build 2001-04-25 - the security prefs are still messed up, even after resizing the window :(
